Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 is an entry-level desktop GPU released on Apr 23rd, 2019, based on turning architecture. It is a good graphics card for low-end gamers capable of running games at 1080p.
AMD Radeon 890M is the latest Integrated graphics by AMD, released on 15th July 2024 based on RDNA 3.5 architecture. 890m igpu is very much capable of 1080p gaming.

AMD uses the term for shaders or shading units called stream processors for their GPU, AMD 890m stream processors are 1024 units. The boost clock of 890m is much higher than 1650.
Nvidia uses the term for shaders/shading units as Cuda Cores for their GPU, Nvidia GTX 1650 has 896 Cuda cores.

AMD 890m igpu has less power consumption but gives great performance due to the smaller process size. It has more transistors than the GTX 1650. Though have fewer PCIe lanes it doesn’t affect 890M graphical performance much.

Radeon 890m has higher clocks and higher shader count due to that, Pixel and Texture rates, and FP32 are also higher than GTX 1650; which means 890M iGPU has much better performance.
The other GTX 1650 variants have lower clocks than the original 1650 due to which they have fewer FP32, Pixel, and Texture rate values, but that doesn’t account for the performance as these GTX 1650’s have faster memory.
OG 1650 is a bit slower than 1650 with GDDR6 memory but these cards are still bested by Radeon 890m integrated graphics.

Radeon 890m beats the GTX 1650 GDDR5 desktop version in Open CL, Vulkan, and Passmark benchmark and came really close in Firestrike and Time Spy. The test system used was GTX 1650 GDDR5 and Ryzen 5 5600G CPU.

The System used for this comparison is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU, 2x 16GB DDR4-4000 MHz RAM, and Gainward GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 Graphics card.
A total of 10 Games and their screenshots from the source: AMD APU Gaming YouTube channel, I didn’t get the accurate average FPS numbers for this test yet.

Devil May Cry 5, 1080p High
Radeon 890M performs similarly to GTX 1650 in Devil May Cry 5 at 1080p high settings with some differences of about 5-10 FPS; where sometimes Radeon 890m takes the lead and in some scenes, GTX 1650, Both are neck to neck against each other.
Hellblade, 1080p High
In Hellblade at 1080p high settings, AMD Radeon 890m beats the 4 year old Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650 by about 5-14 FPS in differences.
Cyberpunk 2077, 1080p Low
In Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings, AMD Radeon 890M igpu beats the Nvidia GTX 1650 by about 4-10 FPS in differences.
Forza Horizon 5, 1080p High (RT Off)
In Forza Horizon 5 at 1080p High settings, AMD 890m igpu destroyed Nvidia’s GTX 1650 by 20-23 FPS in differences and was easily surpassing the 80+ FPS mark.
The Game was averaging around 75-81 FPS in Radeon 890m while in GTX 1650 it was around 59-65 FPS.
Resident Evil 6, 1080p Max
In Resident Evil 6 at 1080p max settings, the Radeon 890M was completely decimated by GTX 1650 in 10-25 FPS in differences. Both GPUs performed well while achieving FPS around 100 – 140+.
Though RE 6 is an 11 year old game, the Radeon 890m performed very well at 1080p max setting by achieving around 140 FPS.
God of War, 1080p Original
In GOW, at 1080p original settings, the performance was similar in some scenes and a variation of about 1-5 FPS.
Robocop, 1080p Low (85% Res. Scale)
In Robocop at 1080p Low setting with resolution scale set to 85%, AMD igpu Radeon 890m decimated GTX 1650 by 10-23 FPS in differences.
An iGPU beating a desktop-level Entry graphics card is really amazing, as Robocop is a fairly new game released in 2023. Though the Radeon 890m beats the GTX 1650; the game was more playable on Radeon 890m than GTX 1650.
GTX 1650 performance dipped below 30FPS with a min. of 20 FPS, hence making the game unplayable while Radeon 890m min. FPS was 29.
The First Descendant, 1080p Med
In The First Descendant at 1080p medium settings, AMD 890m igpu beats the GTX 1650 of Nvidia by 5-10 FPS in differences. AMD 890m easily crossed that 60 FPS mark while GTX 1650 was under 60 FPS.
Tomb Raider (2013), 1080p Max
In Tomb Raider 2013 at 1080p max settings, GTX 1650 beats the Radeon 890m by a decent margin. The difference was around 2-12 FPS.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider, 1080p High
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p High settings, both Radeon 890m and Nvidia 1650 were neck to neck with the variation of 5-10 FPS. Overall, I would say GTX 1650 was ahead by 2 – 5 FPS in differences.

AMD Radeon 890M is quite a powerful iGPU and has certainly in the future iGPUs will be a game changer. Integrated graphics beating a desktop entry-level graphics card is just amazing.
It will certainly help low-spec gamers, save extra money on the graphics card to play games at 1080p decent settings.
From the above test, It is sure that AMD Radeon 890M igpu is comparable if not better in most of the games against Nvidia GTX 1650.
Overall, I would say the Radeon 890M beats the Nvidia GTX 1650 by a decent margin.
